I recently had the pleasure of meeting Adam and Cam at the Swan Hotel Wedding Fair. As a wedding photographer, I love attending events like these, especially at such a picturesque venue as the Swan Hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. The hotel offers a unique and charming backdrop for weddings, making it the perfect place to connect with couples looking for something special for their big day.

Adam & Camille's Joyous Day

Hey folks! Ready for another incredible wedding story? This time, let’s dive into Adam and Camille’s joyful celebration at the Swan Hotel in Bibury, where creativity and party vibes were served up alongside a fantastic feast. The fun-loving and spontaneous pair ensured their wedding day was not just a ceremony but a show-stopping celebration!

Preparation at The Swan Hotel

The day kicked off in the bridal suite of the Swan Hotel, where Camille and her crew were the epitome of calm and relaxation, contrasting beautifully with Adam’s nervous energy as he got ready in the nearby cottages. The atmosphere buzzed with a blend of excitement and nervous anticipation. The staff at the Swan were on their A-game, helping everything run smoothly, adding to the already fantastic vibe set by the perfect weather.

A Ceremony to Remember

Held at the same venue, the ceremony was beautifully simple, officiated by a Gloucester registrar. Although there were no unique traditions or pets involved, the emotional highlight was definitely the bubble confetti cannon. It made a visually stunning alternative to traditional flower petals, creating a magical atmosphere as Adam and Camille said their vows. My camera caught all the unscripted, joyful reactions, adding a candid charm to the collection of photos.

Candid Shots and Sunglass Styles

The reception was all about capturing candid moments. The couple had requested trendy sunglass shots of key guests, which not only added a cool factor to the photos but will also make for a fantastic reel. As a natural light photographer, the perfect weather conditions were a dream come true, allowing me to focus on capturing those natural laughs and smiles with my trusty Canon R6 and the versatile 28-70mm f/2 lens—my favorite for days like these. I then Edited and delivered this Reel to the couple before they had their first dance, it was such a fun way to give them instant memories of the day. 

The Perfect Venue

Reflecting on the day, the Swan Hotel once again proved itself to be one of my favorite venues. It’s the ideal setting for couples who want a mix of elegance, class, and a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere. If you’re lucky, you might even get a shot with the resident swans and signets, which always add a touch of whimsy to any wedding album.

Adam & Cam’s review

We hired Chris as our wedding photographer, with a 12+ hour package to cover the entire day. The quality of the images themselves, and the recommended poses (mixing between fun, romantic, and natural) are sublime. During our pre-wedding meetings/calls with Chris, he was smiling and warm, ensuring that every detail about the day would be captured the right way, and that the images would reflect who we are as a couple. Furthermore, on the day itself, we were inundated with positive feedback about him; everyone noted he was charming, fun, and totally professional.
