Bride and groom at golden hour beneath a castle wall in Gloucestershire
Captured by Chris · Based in Gloucester

Gloucestershire wedding photographer.
Local, relaxed, real.

Documentary wedding photography and film across Gloucestershire, from Cheltenham and Stroud to the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds. No stiff posing, just your day as it actually felt.

Why a local photographer

I live here.
I know the light.

I'm based just outside Gloucester, and I've been photographing weddings across the county since 2019. I know which barns go dark by four in winter, where the sun drops behind the Cotswold edge, and which back roads get you to the ceremony on time.

That local knowledge means less faff on the day and more time for you to enjoy it. I blend in, catch the real moments, and only step in when a group photo needs a bit of organising.

Where I cover

All over Gloucestershire.

Gloucester

My home patch. The cathedral, the docks and the villages around the city.

Cheltenham

Regency townhouses, racecourse receptions and country hotels on the edge of town.

Stroud & the Five Valleys

Mill venues, hilltop barns and some of the best evening light in the county.

The Cotswolds

Painswick, Bibury, Tetbury, Stow and Chipping Campden. Honey stone and rolling fields.

Cirencester

Country estates, the Water Park and relaxed marquee weddings.

Tewkesbury

The abbey, riverside venues and the north of the county.

Forest of Dean

Castles, woodland ceremonies and the Wye Valley.

And beyond

Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Bristol and Bath, all with no travel fees.

How I work

Your day, not a photoshoot.

Most of your gallery will be real moments: the nerves, the laughs, the tears in the front row and the chaos on the dancefloor. I'll take you away for a short portrait session when the light is good, then hand you back to your guests.

Good to know

Gloucestershire wedding questions.

Do you charge travel within Gloucestershire?

No. There are no travel fees anywhere in England and Wales, so wherever you're getting married in the county, the price is the price.

How far ahead should we book?

Most couples book 12 to 18 months out, and Saturdays from May to September go first. Midweek and winter dates are often available at shorter notice, so it's always worth asking.

Can you film our wedding as well?

Yes. The Storyteller package covers photos and a highlight film, or you can add a highlight film to shorter days. Same documentary style, just me working quietly with a couple of cameras.

Have you shot at our venue before?

I've photographed weddings at venues all over Gloucestershire. If I haven't been to yours, I'll visit beforehand or plan the light and locations with you, so nothing is guesswork on the day.
